Why Blog?

What in the world made me decide to blog? Why am I spending so much time to get this set up, looking good, and working? Well, I actually don't know. I keep having people tell me that I should set up a blog, so here I am.



It all started in January. I decided to try to earn some money from my crafts. I found that while I was doing my first of the year cleaning, I have a lot of crafts and gifts just waiting to be given away or sold. I decided to try my hand at selling on esty.com. I have already sold over $5000. in handmade greeting cards to my co-workers, but could I handle selling on-line? A friend of mine that has sold a lot of beads on etsy and ebay gave me some pointers and I spent the weekend setting up my shop. I try to add more products every few days.

Then, etsy.com was giving wonderful comments and helpful tips and always talking about setting up a blog. So, here I am--following directions, reading "Blogging for Dummies" and setting up my site. Thanks to my work supervisor who is also a pro at setting up blogs--she has given me some "insider" tips that will help me down the road.
