Ladybugs card

Have you seen the lady bugs that I am selling on my etsy site?  I decided to make a few cards with some of the lady bugs that I made.  I put a black mat on the card & then topped it with a darling designer paper with lady bugs and black dots.  Then I added the lady bugs that I made with punches. The lady bugs on the card on the left have their dots as hearts.  The lady bugs on the card on the right has their dots in circles. Then I topped off the cards by matting a white Happy Birthday message on a dark matted red cardstock.  I'm thinking of putting these cards on my etsy site.  They look so cheerful and cute to me.

My Etsy Store is having a SALE till the end of May

***SALE***SALE***SALE***SALE***SALE***SALE***SALE***

May is the month of my birthday!!!! So, I have reduced the prices on most of the necklaces and blanket/burp sets by 30%. The other necklaces have also been reduced as well as the card sets.

I have also been spring cleaning, so check out my scrapbook/cardmaking supplies and destash. I will be adding new items often.

Pillow cases that I made for a friend

A friend of mine saw my etsy store and did not know that I crochet blankets and pillow cases.  So, she asked me if I would crochet the trim on some pillow cases for her daughters.  She had some darling flannel fabric. One pillow case is pink with colored polka dots and green frogs.  One pillow case has a light purple background with cute little red lady bugs.  The last pillow case has a pink background with the same cute red lady bugs.  I think they turned out really cute!

Bird Cards

I have been so busy lately. I have not forgotten my blog, I have just been making so many fun things.
My friend bought a new punch from Stampin Up. It punches out a bird, a branch with leaves and a wing to add a 3-D look on the bird. We had a fun time making some cute and classy cards with the new punch. Here are a few of the cards that I made.
I also posted some on my etsy shop in case anyone wants to buy them.

Busy, busy, busy

Oh my stars!  I have been keeping SO busy!  I have been cleaning my craft room.  I found so many wonderful treasures and I even found a number of items that I have never used!  So, I decided to add them to my etsy site as supplies for sale.  I have also crocheted the trimming on 6 different pillow cases.  They have all turned out so nice.  My previous weekend was wonderful to me and I was able to make over 50 cards!  They were simple cards that  I used leftovers from O Scrap!  I basically used a frame and die cuts to decorate the card.  I used pop dots to make the die cuts stand up.  They all turned out to look really nice.  My next projects that I will be working on is 4 more pillow cases and a 50th Wedding Anniversary card that a friend has special ordered.

Happy Birthday card with cricut

I had a day to play with my Cricut and found a wonderful frame on the Pooh and Friends cartridge that I had not seen before.  It is the oval of flowers in my card above.  I love it!  For the base paper of the card, I used Making Memories narrow stripe paper from the Maddi collection. The floral frame was cut from yellow cardstock.  The Happy Birthday is printed on white cardstock and it is matted on Making Memories floral paper--also from the Maddi collection.  The hot pink mini brads at the center of each flower are also from Making Memories wc brite.  White cardstock is also behind the flower frame.  I loved this frame so much, that I made a number of cards including a really neat card for Mother's day.  I don't know how I missed this neat frame before, but I love it!

This week's project--use scraps and recycled paper to make a card

This week, I decided to make some cards using scraps of paper that I had.  I also had a darling card that was given to me with a gift card.  I loved the paper and wanted to use it in a cheerful card.  This is the result.  The deep yellow paper with flowers use to be the card for the gift card.  I had to cover the fold, so I used white cardstock and ribbon to cover it.  The flower in the center was made from white cardstock and a silk flower from a card that failed.  The white cardstock that is used as a mat for the recycled card was also from the failed card.  The purple paper was leftover from a scrapbook page that I made.  I was really surprised, but I think this card turned out really cheerful and cute.

This next card was also made from scraps.  The brown paper and pink paper were both used in a scrapbook page that I made.  I happened to have cut out 3 extra flowers, so I just needed to cut out 2 more flowers to finish the card.  The flower brads were the only items that were not scraps. This is a fun card.
